Michael Farrell has been a professor of art history and
founder of the Honors Art History Program at the University
of Windsor, Ontario, Canada, for the past thirty years. He
is also a lecturer for Central Michigan University and, in
the past, has served as adjunct education curator at the
Detroit Institute of Arts and the Detroit Historical Museum.
Professor Farrell believes that there is a profound
difference between looking and seeing. In his entertaining
and inspiring classroom format, the difference becomes
apparent.

Art appreciation is encouraged through a series of evening
explorations from around the world as presented by local art
historian, Michael Farrell. This creative pilgrimage explores
unique art history surrounding famous artists and cities.
Farrell’s captivating style and wit have distinguished him as a
popular raconteur and, along with his knowledge, have made him a
recognized art authority, entertaining and educating residents and
guests season after season.
