Conversations in Cloth
August 6-28, 2010
Northville Art House, 215 W. Cady Street

Be a pART of it! The Northville Art House is pleased to announce Conversations in Cloth, an exhibition that showcases the vibrant and diverse work of local fiber artists. From abstract art quilts to three-dimensional sculpture, the show invites viewers to examine pre-conceptions about cloth and its use as form, not function. Artists include: Jill Ault, Mary Andrews, Mary Bajcz, Debra Danko, Cindy Geist, Mary York Gentry, Sonja Hagen, Donna Hamilton, Sue Holdaway-Heys, Pat Holly, Patricia Ingersoll, Gretchen Jackson, Barb Kilbourn, Carolyn King, Linda Larsen, Garland Lewis, Dee Segula, Joan Potter Thomas and Carol Wineman.

The show also includes the installation piece "The Enneagram" by artist Mary York Gentry, a masterful work that compels the audience to explore human personality from various perspectives.

The show will open in our upper gallery with an artist reception Friday, August 6, from  6:00pm - 9:00pm. The show will continue through August 28 during the Art House Gallery hours (Wednesday-Saturday, 1:00pm - 5:00pm). For additional information, call 248-344-0497. The Art House is located at 215 W. Cady Street and is a facility of the Northville Arts Commission. Admission to Art House shows is always free and open to the public.
