Victorian Festival
Activities - September 2009
Northville celebrated its 21st annual Victorian Festival on
September 18-20. The Festival began with the traditional parade on
Friday and continued throughout the weekend. The streets are closed
to automobile traffic as townspeople, artists, and business owners
turn back the clock and transform themselves into a Victorian
Village complete with period costumes, free trackless train and
horse and carriage rides, storytellers, magicians, musical
entertainment and demonstrations. Visitors can enjoy a unique
experience in Northville's own historical village, Mill Race
Village, who offer docent-led building tours, tea room, duck race,
country store, music and games for the young and old alike.
