2010 Calendar

The Village grounds are open dawn to dusk seven days a week unless closed for a wedding.

Mill Race Village will be open on June 13, 2010 through October 17, 2010 Sundays, from 1:00pm – 4:00pm and for Special Events.

During the spring/summer season, all Village buildings are open each Sunday with Docents on hand to share the history of each building.

(Cady Inn, Country Store, Hirsch Blacksmith Shop, Wash Oak School, Hunter House, New School Church, Yerkes House, The Cottage House, and The Interurban Station)

Mourning Tea

Mourning Tea at Cady Inn followed by circa 1889 Victorian Funeral at Church. $25 for members, $30 for non-members. Reservations required by contacting 248 348-1845.

Oakwood Cemetery comes alive with all new historical figures sharing their stories.

Children's Christmas Workshop Registration
Friday, November 5
6:00pm for Historical Society members
6:30pm Non Society Members
7:00pm Groups and Scout Troops

Children in grades 1-6 are invited to participate in the opportunity to make seven old fashioned, hand-made gifts for the special people on their Christmas lists. The intent of the workshop is to surprise family members with the gifts that the children have worked on and made themselves. There will be a morning session from 10:00am to 12:00pm and an afternoon session from 1:00pm to 3:00pm, accommodating 150 children total. Enrollment is $15 per child. Payable by cash or check made out to the Northville Historical Society. Registration is always the first Friday in November at 218 W. Dunlap in Northville.
