Northville Arts Commission
Regular Meeting Minutes / March 13, 2002

Ken Naigus called the meeting of the Northville Arts Commission (NAC) to order at 7:30 at City Hall.

Attendees: Ken Naigus, Sonia Swigart, Kathleen Tabaczynski, Irme Tracy

Absent: Marie Barr, Pat Dorrian-Sandbothe, Kathleen O’Brien, Sharon Rossow, Sue Taylor

The minutes of the previous meeting on February 13th 2002 were approved.

50/50 Raffle
  • Irme presented information on 50/50 fundraising.
  • Attendees agreed that other fundraising options are more desirable.
  • Decision will be readdressed when more attendees are present.

Budget

  • Kathleen and Ken presented the 2002 proposed budget for NAC that was submitted to the Finance Dept. for first review cycle.

Student Art Show

  • Kathleen summarized plans for a modified Student Art Show:

    o NHS seniors only show

    o May 20th – 31st at Northville Library

  • Kathleen will work with Sue and Sonia to work out details of the show.

Upcoming Dates

  • March 27th – Director of State Department of History, Arts and Library (HAL), Dr. William Anderson, 2:00 @ library with state representative John Stewart.

  • April 10th – next regular meeting, 7:30pm, City Hall

  • April 25th – last art lecture, Gertrude Stein, 7:30pm, Hillside

Adjournment

The meeting was adjourned at 9:00pm
