Meeting Minutes
May 11, 2005, 7:30 p.m.
ART HOUSE

Commissioners Present: Ann Brenner, Darcel Deneau, Laurie Fowler, Ken Naigus, Sharon Rossow, Kathleen Tabaczynski, Sue Taylor

Commissioners Absent: Arlene Catrett

Guests: Nicole Passmore, Galina Koriduzki, Lisa Peltier-Doyle

Approval of Minutes: The minutes of the April 13, 2005 meeting were approved.

Committee Reports:

Exhibit Committee: Current scheduled exhibits include Sandy Baughman during May; Camera Club photographs during September and last week in August; Holiday Art Market in November/December. A July exhibit is still being considered. After discussion with guest, Lisa Peltier-Doyle, it was decided to hold a quilt show October 8-9, 2005. Lisa will chair this event and NAC will help with publicity. There will be an entry fee of $3.

Note: A publicity person is needed within the Exhibit Committee to publicize shows.

New Business:

Sponsorship of Clock Concerts: It was voted to have Ken Naigus pursue sponsorship of the summer Clock Concerts.

Programming: Information for fall activities should be given to Parks & Recreation in June. Sharon & Kathleen will set up DIA and Michael Farrell evening lectures; Darcy & Ken will set up artist lectures; Darcy & Sue will meet with Center for Creative Studies. A committee was formed to hold a Holiday Art Market and includes Darcy, Kathleen, Sue and Galina.
