Beautification Commission Minutes

BEAUTIFICATION COMMISSION
June 10, 2003

Members present: Hansknecht, Lenk, Lestock, Rewald,

Tague

Members absent: Cusmano, DeMattos, Hayes, Stapleton

The meeting was called to order at 7:00 PM.

PLANTINGS: Have been completed. Lestock thanked Josie for planting N. Center. Ten ladies planted the planters at the DPW Yard on the 29^th. Lestock will get a dead heading schedule out. The planting expense for this Spring planting was approximately $2,500.

Lenk and Lestock met with Lori Ward (DDA), Marc Russell (local Landscape Architect) and Elaine Kozar (hired city planted aka bulb lady). It was nice to get together with these key people who have been instrumental in planting the downtown area.

8 MILE: Trees are being planted and wildflowers are being relocated by interested people from the future Catholic Central high school site to the wooded area along the walking path.

BCSEM MEETING: Lenk, Tague and Marie Barr from the Township will attend the meeting in Southfield.

The next meeting will be on Tuesday, July 8 at 7:00 PM at city hall. Would appreciate a call if you cannot be there. Meeting adjourned at 7:45 PM.
