Beautification Commission Minutes

CITY OF NORTHVILLE
BEAUTIFICATION COMMISSION
August 12, 2003

Members present: Cusmano, Hansknecht, Hayes, Lenk,

Members absent: DeMattos, Rewald

The meeting was called to order at 7:00 PM. The snail mail minutes were approved as received and read.

MEMBERSHIP: Lestock read DeMattos letter dated July 18, 2003. The members said that they had received all past correspondence from the chair. Lestock did discuss the letter with Mr. Gary Word and read her response dated July 28.

Planters are doing well this year. Clock and Witch Wall are doing OK. Witch Wall needs more water and the Clock needs better plant material. Time for mums.

Lestock reminded everyone of the Appreciation Reception to be held on Thursday, September 4. It would be nice if all could attend.

JUDGING: Members turned in their residential and business selections.

This year’s business awards are: Buckhave-Church Square, Corriveau Professional Building, Country Fare, Dr. A. F. Dick, First Presbyterian Church of Northville, Little Italy, Matthew Thomas Salon, Mr. Glow Car Wash, Northville Downs and Starbucks Coffee Company.

Meeting adjourned at 8:00 PM. The next meeting will be on Tuesday, September 9 at city hall. Would appreciate a call if you cannot be there. Thanks.
