Beautification Commission Minutes

NORTHVILLE BEAUTIFICATION COMMISSION
Tuesday – June 11, 2005

Commissioners present: Cusmano, Hayes, Hansknecht, Lestock, Rewald, Tague

The meeting was called to order by Lestock at 7:15 PM.

WITCH WALL: Lestock worked with Jeff Nash and Kathy Koch to prepare (clean up) the witch wall and clock for summer plants.

PLANTINGS: Lestock thanked all present for helping to plant the Planters, Witch Wall and Clock.

Lestock was asked by Sexton, Jim Allen to plant the Rural Hill entrance sign. DPW Steve Heidt placed rocks and soil around area. It was then planted by Kathy Koch and Lestock with iris and daylilies divided from the Witch Wall.

The ‘Make A Difference Group’ from the high school planted the bed on South Main.

Lestock and Koch planted the Randolph Street Island. Lestock planted the Center Street Island.

DEADHEADING: Lestock will get the schedule to members.

CALENDAR: Lestock passed out the summer calendar to members.

JUDGING: Business selections will be done in July. Residence will be done in August.

MEMBERSHIP: Guest Tracy Curtis is in attendance after reading the ad in newspaper. Lestock contacted Gloria Mrozek, Comerica Bank in re to joining. She was interested last year. But at this time she is seven months pregnant.

The meeting was adjourned at 8:15 PM. The next meeting will be on Tuesday, August 9 at 7:00.
