Beautification Commission Minutes

NORTHVILLE BEAUTIFICATION COMMISSION
Tuesday – July 11, 2005

Commissioners present: Hansknecht, Hayes, Lestock

Commissioners absent: Cusmano, Rewald, Tague

The meeting was called to order by Lestock at 7:10 PM.

PLANTERS: Lestock will get the deadheading schedule out this week. Lestock and Koch deadhead the past several weeks.

ROTARY LUNCHEON: Lestock spoke with Rotarian Charles Phelps on June 30 and was advised that the joint luncheon will be on September 20 this year. One week earlier than usual.

RANDOLPH STREET BED: Lestock replaced three flats of begonias which had died because the irrigation system was too low. She notified the DPW who rectified the problem.

WITCH WALL & CLOCK: The cannas are not doing well. They should have been divided before planting.

WEEDS: Weeds are growing out of control in the city. Summer help that was hired has dropped the ball. DPW may be looking for a new person.

KATHY KOCH: Parolee who did civic service with our group is moving to live with her sister in Waterford.

BUSINESS SELECTIONS: Are due in August.

Meeting adjourned at 7:45 PM. Next meeting will be on Tuesday, August 9 at 7:00 at city hall.
