Absentee Ballot Application

City of Northville registered voters return their Absent Voter application to the Office of the City Clerk, 215 W. Main Street, Northville, 48167 or by fax to 248-349-9244.

Your ballot will be mailed within 24 hours after receipt of your application.

Last day an Absentee Ballot
can be mailed:
Saturday, August 4, 2012 by 2:00pm. City Hall will be  open on this date from 9:00am until 2:00pm for absent  voter ballot purposes.
   
Last day to Vote by Absentee Ballot: Monday, August 6, 2012 by 4:00pm. You may not take  the ballot out of the building. The ballot must be voted at City Hall.
   
Election Day: Tuesday, August 7, 2012 (polls are open from 7:00am until 8:00pm)

Candidate Filing Requirements
Precinct Delegate Candidates only

Filing Deadline: May 15, 2012 at 4:00pm. Withdrawal deadline is 4:00pm, May 18, 2012.

Withdrawal must be in writing and must be  filed with the County Clerk.

If you are a Northville Township resident,
You must file your precinct delegate affidavit at the Township Clerk’s Office or the Wayne County Clerk’s Office.

Filing requirements: Affidavit of Identity for Precinct Delegate
   
Precinct Delegate qualifications: A precinct delegate candidate must be at  least 18 years of age by the May 15, 2012 filing deadline and must be a qualified and registered elector residing within, as well as having his or her actual bona fide residence within the election precinct for which he or  she desires to become a precinct delegate candidate.

City of Northville registered voters who wish to seek a precinct delegate position with write-in votes must file a “Declaration of Intent” with the Northville City Clerk by 4:00pm on Friday, August 3, 2012. As an alternative, such precinct delegate candidates may file a Declaration of Intent with the appropriate precinct board on Election Day any time prior to the close of the polls. If you are a Northville Township resident, you must file the Declaration of Intent form at the Township Clerk’s office. Call 248-348-5800 for more information.

PLEASE NOTE: The County Clerk will notify candidates elected to precinct delegate positions by first class, registered, or certified mail. The
Northville City Clerk’s Office will not have this information.
