Massage Establishments

The City of Northville Code of Ordinances requires that all Massage Establishments be licensed in the City. Chapter 18 Businesses, Article V, Massage Establishments provides complete and detailed information pertaining to license requirements and operating a massage establishment in the City of Northville. All Massage Establishment licenses expire annually on December 31st.

The list of required documentation at the time of application/renewal and the fee schedule may be found on the Massage Establishment Application.

Massage Therapists

In accordance with the provisions of PA 471 of 2008, the City of Northville no longer licenses Massage Therapists.

Per PA 471 of 2008, Massage Therapists are licensed by the State of Michigan. Massage Therapists that need to be licensed must contact the State of Michigan, Department of Community Health.
