Technology Department Overview

Under the direction of the City’s Finance Director, the City’s investment in technology, information system administration, and telecommunication system is planned and maintain by a combination of staff and outsourcing vendors. Those efforts focus on long-term strategy and planning, hardware and software maintenance, as well as support and training to other City departments. This range of support has grown to include a Novell wide area network with approximately 70 personal computer workstations including access from three other buildings. Opportunities for cost-sharing efforts with other entities continue to be explored.
