Residential Compost Collection Program
Compost collection will end Dec. 9, 2019 for the season and will resume in Spring 2020.

While compost collection is underway, place compost materials out separate from your trash and recyclables on your regular trash pickup day.

Compost Containers
Grass clippings, leaves, and garden waste may be placed in 30 gallon PAPER COMPOST BAGS, or in 35 gallon reusable containers with sturdy handles marked “COMPOST” or marked with an “X”. Lids must not be placed on the reusable containers. Stickers for reusable containers are available from the Public Works Department in City Hall or from the City Hall vestibule, which is open 24 hours a day.

No containers over 50 pounds or over 35 gallons in size.  No plastic bags.

What to Compost
Grass clippings, leaves, yard and garden waste (excluding pumpkins), pruning debris, and brush.

How to Prepare Materials
