Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) Request for Records

The Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) is the law that provides access to public records, except for those protected from disclosure under the Act.

NOTE: Seven communities have a "Northville" mailing address; however, the property is physically located in a different jurisdiction. Click here to verify the address before submitting your FOIA request.

FOIA - Police Records

Return requests for Police Records to: 
Northville Police Department, 215 W. Main Street, Northville, Michigan, 48167, fax 248-349-9244, or by email.

Within 5 business days after receiving the request, the Police Department will issue a response.   FOIA requests received by fax, email or other electronic transmission is deemed to be received the following business day.  When necessary, the Police Department may extend its response time by ten business days.

City Clerk's Office, 215 W. Main Street, Northville, Michigan, 48167, fax 248-349-9244, or by email to the City Clerk/FOIA Coordinator.
