Important Dates to Remember - November 5, 2024 General
Saturday, September 21 - Deadline for clerks to transmit Absent Voter ballots to each absent UOCAVA voter (MOVE Deadline).
Thursday, September 26 - Absent Voter ballots will be available in-person at the City Clerk's Office. *Permanent Absentee Voter Ballots will be mailed the last week of September or thereabouts
Monday, October 21 - Last day to register to vote in any matter other than in-person at your local Clerk's Office.
Tuesday, October 22 through Tuesday, November 5 until 8:00 pm - A person may register to vote in-person at their local Clerk's Office with proof of residency.
Saturday, October 26 through Sunday, November 3, 2024 -
Early In-Person Voting is available at the Novi Civic Center (45175 W.
10 Mile Rd.) from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., except Thursday, October 31st when hours are Noon - 8:00 p.m.
Friday, November 1, 5:00 pm - Deadline for voters to request an absent voter ballot to mailed via first class mail.
Monday, November 4, 4:00 pm - Deadline for registered voters to request an absent voter ballot in-person at the City Clerk's Office.
Tuesday, November 5 until 8:00 pm
- A person registering to vote in-person at the City Clerk's Office may
obtain and vote an absent voter ballot with proof of residency or vote
in-person at their proper precinct.
***Early Voting Close of Polls Tabulation will take place at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 5th.

Election Day Information
The polls are open 7 am - 8 pm. You must be in line, with an application to vote, by 8 pm.
Election workers and local Clerks do NOT have the authority to keep the polls open past 8 pm.
Absentee Ballots must be received at the Clerk's Office by 8 pm. Postmarks are not accepted.
Historically, the busiest times are 7 am - 9 am and 6 pm - 8 pm. If you are concerned about spending time in line, consider voting by Absent Voter Ballot.
Bring your photo ID or be prepared to complete
an affidavit attesting that you are not in possession of photo ID. You
may vote without photo ID by completing the affidavit. Click here for more information about the photo ID requirement.
