Residential Compost Collection Program

Yard waste collection services

If you have yard waste, place it at the curb on your regular trash day. This program starts on the first scheduled pick-up in April and ends on the second scheduled pick-up in December. In 2024, it begins on April 1 and ends on Dec. 10.

Compost Containers

Grass clippings, leaves, and garden waste may be placed in 30 gallon PAPER COMPOST BAGS, or in 35 gallon reusable containers with sturdy handles marked “COMPOST” or marked with an “X”. Lids must not be placed on the reusable containers. Stickers for reusable containers are available from the Public Works Department in City Hall or from the City Hall vestibule, which is open 24 hours a day.

Do not use containers over 50 pounds or over 35 gallons in size, and do not use plastic bags.
